Privacy Policy
This policy explains how 4tap LLC ("4tap", "we", "us") handles information in our iPhone game Sandfall and on this website, 4tap.llc. If you have a question about it, write to privacy@4tap.llc.
- We do not run servers that receive data from Sandfall. Your paintings, progress and settings stay on your device.
- Sandfall shows ads from Google to players who have not bought Sandfall Complete. Those ads are non-personalized, and Google collects some device and usage information to serve them, as described below.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Information that stays on your device
Sandfall keeps everything it needs to run on your device, inside the app's own storage. We never receive any of it.
- Your game. Your paintings, progress, rewards and settings.
- Photos. If you choose to make a picture from a photo, the photo you pick or take is turned into a picture on your device. A small copy is kept in the app so you can remake the picture. Photos are never uploaded. The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo, and only after you give permission.
- Gameplay statistics. Sandfall records gameplay events, such as pictures started and finished and frame-rate samples, in a log on your device, identified only by a random identifier created when you install the app. This log is not sent to us or anyone else.
- Reminders. If you turn on daily reminders, they are scheduled on your device. No information is sent anywhere to deliver them.
Deleting Sandfall from your device deletes all of this information.
Advertising
If you have not bought Sandfall Complete, Sandfall may show full-screen ads between pictures and offer optional rewarded ads. Ads never appear while you are painting, and none are shown to new players during their first sessions. These ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC).
We have configured AdMob to serve non-personalized ads only, which means ads are not chosen based on a profile of your interests or your activity in other apps. We also limit ads to content rated for general audiences. Sandfall does not ask for permission to track you and does not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).
To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and improve its services, the Google Mobile Ads software in Sandfall may collect:
- your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location;
- device identifiers that are limited to our apps (not the advertising identifier);
- information about the ads shown and how you interact with them;
- device and app information, and diagnostic data such as crash and performance information.

Buying Sandfall Complete removes all ads. On a device where Sandfall Complete is owned, the Google ad software is never started.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland
Before any ad is requested, Sandfall asks for your choices about advertising using Google's consent tool. You can change those choices at any time in Sandfall under Settings › Ad privacy › Privacy options for ads.
Purchases
Purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment, and we never receive your payment details. Sandfall receives only Apple's confirmation of what you bought, so it can unlock it on your devices.
Sharing your art
When you choose to share an image of a painting, Sandfall hands it to the standard iOS share sheet, and you decide where it goes. We do not receive a copy.
Children
Sandfall is made for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads in Sandfall are non-personalized and limited to content rated for general audiences. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will help.
Your choices and rights
- You can remove ads entirely by buying Sandfall Complete.
- You can reset your device's settings under Settings › Privacy & Security on your iPhone.
- Because we do not hold your information on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. Deleting the app removes everything it stores. For information collected by Google for ads, see Google's privacy controls at myaccount.google.com.
- Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have rights to know about, access, delete or opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To ask a question or make a request, write to privacy@4tap.llc. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
This website
4tap.llc does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to operate and secure the site.
Security and retention
Information Sandfall keeps on your device is protected by your device's own security and is kept until you delete it or the app. We keep any email you send us only as long as needed to answer it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change is significant, we will also note it in the app or in the App Store release notes.
